What we do

Porridge-programmes

By distributing porridge at schools, children can start their day with a full stomach, which enhances their learning performance and enjoyment at school.

Agricultural projects

Lala Salama collaborates with schools to implement sustainable agricultural projects to enhance food security among students. Self-sufficiency is essential in this process.

Where we work

Our projects in Kenya are situated in the remote regions of Kajiado and Makueni in Kenya. These areas are located far from urban centers, making access to resources a challenge. Despite these difficulties, our initiatives aim to enhance food security and support local communities through our programs.

Our focus

Lala Salama excels through community-driven initiatives, ensuring lasting positive change.
Co-creation: Lala Salama's ideas come directly from schools and communities, ensuring our programs align with their needs.
Self-sufficiency: We aim for self-sufficiency so the community no longer needs financial support after initial funding.
Communication: As a small, on-the-ground organization, we ensure clear communication and transparency with local partners.

Goals we strive for

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are seventeen goals for 2030, set by the United Nations and designed to make our world a better place together. Lala Salama actively contributes to these sustainability goals.
