We operate in South Kenya, and we understand the challenges and needs of the communities here to make as much impact as possible with the available resources. We assume shared responsibility in every project and always work towards complete self-reliance of the community.
In the region where we’re active, approximately 60% of children come to school without food. Schools are not financially able to offer lunch programs, and the Kenyan government does not provide enough help in this regard. The schools themselves came up with the initiative to set up porridge programs to provide children with at least one meal as a kick-start to the day.
